1932. With Constance Bennett, at LA's Biltmore Hotel.

Original caption: The packed crowd around the entrance of the exclusive Biltmore Hotel received the thrill of their adulating lives when Constance Bennett and Joan Crawford, the screen's most brilliant personalities, arrived together for the second dance of the smart Mayfair Club season. Joan was strikingly dressed in white from head to foot, wearing a heavy crepe gown with form-fitting lines that reached the floor. She resembled those pictures in the family album of grandmother in her ball gown. Connie was very sophisticated in glimmering black satin, and brilliants, and had considerable trouble with a train.
