In 2006, Joan's grandson discovered some rare home-movie footage of Joan from the late-1930s to early-1940s among his mother's (Cathy LaLonde's) possessions. Around 4 hours of raw footage was edited to a half-hour and first shown at a UCLA Joan retrospective in 2008. Some of the footage later appeared in the Investigation Discovery channel's program "The Will: Family Secrets Revealed" in November 2010. Below are some screen shots from the TV-show footage.
